Written by Jørgen Løwe June 30, 2015
Goldfish Boat AS in Norway is pleased to announce that the Company’s Environmental Management System has been certified to the international standard BS EN ISO 14001:2004. The certification covers the processes and products from design to assembly and completion, and demonstrates the Company’s long-term commitment to developing and continually improving its environmental focus and standards.
One of the stated environmental goals is to reduce consumption and emissions through efficient hulls and powertrain integration.
“We are proud to deliver performance boats with low fuel consumption to the professional and leisure market. For example, our new 9 m diesel RIB has a fuel consumption at 1.1 liters / nm at 51 knots and as low as 0.57 liters / nm if you reduce the speed to 25 knots. Being able to deliver high speed boats with high efficiency is possible due to a long-term commitment to research and development of efficient hulls and optimized integration of a modern powertrain”.
Goldfish Boat is certified by Det Norske Veritas and the ISO 14001 certificate shows that Goldfish Boat is an environmentally conscious organization which takes its responsibilities seriously and can demonstrate robust policies, plans and procedures for site arrangements for waste management, the control of hazardous materials, the conservation of natural resources and the prevention of pollution.
Goldfish Boat also holds the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and will continue to have a strong focus on developing the management systems and on R&D to keep developing even more efficient boats in the future.
