Our latest creation has just arrived in Sardinia, and will be ready for duty in the Mediterranean this summer. The owner decided to go for the Classic Lamborghini Miura colour from the 60´s with a combination of Branca Nero Hull, all black tube, and carbon/black detailing.

When the Miura was released, it was the fastest production car available. Though build No 011 is extreme, she can’t claim to be the fastest on calm waters, but she might be the best handling powerboat in choppy and rough sea. The twin staggered MerCury Racing 600 SCi engines runs on Bravo I XR Short Sport drives. Rigged for durability and rough sea performance, with nosecones fully submerged and with Maximus 5-blade LAB finish propellers for excellent grip and easy manoeuvring.

While the Miura was originally conceived by Lamborghini’s engineering team, who designed the car in their spare time against the wishes of Company Founder Ferruccio Lamborghini, this custom Goldfish 38 SuperSport was a joint team effort that would never come to realisation without the full involvement from our Founder and Head-Designer Pål Sollie.

While Ferruccio preferred powerful, yet sedate grand touring cars rather than the racecar-derived machines produced by local rival Ferrari, Pål works the other way around. Pål is deeply concerned for the sea-keeping performance, and have to be smooth talked into adding anything from bow-thrusters, anchor winches and fridges, to T-tops and shock-absorbing seats. Principally, Pål considers all added weight and every moving part a threat to a long and happy life for his creations.

It could be a painstaking process to get a customers wish, past Pål’s final word. However, this kind of involvement and knowledge based decision making is exactly what makes a Goldfish special and how they all bear the Goldfish DNA.

As both Sales and After Sales is as integral to the business as our design function, it is a wide understanding for Pål’s preventive view on design. Once the boat leaves the factory and hit the waves, the factory team is hands on to ensure that our hulls and subsystems are as bulletproof as they were designed to be.
