It’s not in our DNA to compromise. Goldfish boats are conceived and fabricated to balance optimal standards in design, performance and operational ability. That means we may have to turn down some requests to preserve that unique sense of equilibrium. That’s in your interests, our interests… and our DNA. That’s what sits at the core of every boat that bears our name.

SCENARIO BASED DESIGN

It starts with curiosity and understanding.

Every Goldfish is a direct response to an independent needs assessment, and each new design starts with a clear vision of usage, and what task or activity the new tool must fulfil.

Narrative descriptions of envisioned usage episodes are employed to guide the development of the hull and bodywork, drivetrain and subsystems. Goldfish’s direct interaction with end-users elucidates variations in scenarios and make sure all considerations are captured in the final design.

Unlike most other Head Designers, Pål knows both weakness and strength of his own production down to every person and tool involved, and carefully make considerations for this in his new creation. This unique holistic approach forms highly distinctive, yet timeless attractive pieces.

ACCESSIBLE PERFORMANCE

All boats perform. But what makes a true performance boat?

We believe that performance shouldn’t be measured in top-speed, but through experience. The power to move isn’t enough. Performance is nothing without control, and the best boats should be accessible from day one. Refined, still a thrill to set free.

A Goldfish is built to be driven hard, and for the sensation of controlling the element. The boat will grow on you for each day you go out. For us, all speed handling, non-existing planning threshold, easy docking, precise steering and responsive throttles and helms ergonomics, is all a part of the Accessible Performance.

We call it; agility at your hand.

OPERATIONAL AVAILABILITY

YOU SHOULD EXPECT YOUR BOAT TO PERFORM AS INTENDED TO, WHEN YOU NEED IT TO. OBVIOUS IS IT?

Operational availability doesn’t come by it selves. Without appropriate scenario based design, a clear vision and experience with the field of operation, and requirements or usage, your new boat will have a lot of downtime. In other words – let you down.

Our models undergo a strict needs assessment, and each boat is adjusted to certain utilization and environment in dialogue with the new owner.

Carbon or GRP, surface drives or stern-drives, gasoline or diesel, racing props or endurance props, dark or bright colour scheme, Simrad or RayMarine? These are choices that determine if your boat will perform as intended to, when you need it to.

We not only build a boat, we build your boat. Not only as you want it, but also as we know you want it.
